Born and raised in Ireland, Stephen currently resides in Stockholm with his wife and son, where he works in the legal sector of the music business.

 

The inception of Eggbuds was sparked by Stephen's experiences watching kids shows with his toddler son. Recognizing a market gap for content that not only entertained but also educated children on social inclusion, awareness, and navigating diverse personalities, Stephen was inspired to fill this void. However, he faced the challenge of bringing this vision to life until a serendipitous moment one morning when he and his son decorated eggs from the fridge with markers. In that lightbulb moment, the concept for Eggbuds was born.

Realising the potential of the brand, Stephen set about obtaining the trademark rights for the 'Eggbuds' name in January 2024. As of writing, he has full ownership of the name 'Eggbuds' under Class 28 (Toys, Games, Playthings) and Class 41 (Entertainment, Education, Multimedia Production) in the USA, UK, and Europe. He is positive that this will reinforce the licensing opportunities for the brand.

 

In addition to his work on Eggbuds, Stephen is a published author and a songwriter/producer, lending his skills to other artists in his spare time.
